    SDMH proudly announces a partnership with Genesis Foundation. Together, we are committed to save little hearts and make a difference. Together, we shall perform life-saving heart surgeries on children with congenital heart defects and whose families would have otherwise not been able to afford the cost of treatment. This will be at no cost to patient's families.
  • 4th Celiac Disease Awareness Program.
    SDMH organized 4th Celiac Disease Awareness Program, invited around 80 pediatric celiac patients and organized contest for their awareness about celiac, it included poster making, recipe competition, and food quiz.
  • Felicitation of Stalwarts
    SDMH felicitated all the Stalwarts of the department of CTVS on 2 June 2018. The hospital and the department are grateful to all the doctors who contributed to the establishment and development of the Department of Cardiac Sciences at SDMH since its start in 1979 till date. All the renowned Cardiac Surgeons Dr. Gautam Sen(Ex-Consultant Cardiac Surgeon, SDMH), Dr. Subba Rao( Professor, Banglore Hospital), Dr. Ravindra Kumar Sharma(Consultant Cardiac Surgeon, Mahatma Gandhi Medical College, Jaipur), Dr. Ajeet Bana( Chairman Cardiac Sciences, EHCC, Jaipur) and Dr. Vikram Goyal( Director, Cardiac Sciences, Manipal Hospital, Jaipur), Dr. Kastoori Sarma, Dr. Himanshu Desai, Dr K.G.Yadav and also the anesthesiologists, Dr. V.K Parashar( HOD, Anesthesiology, SDMH), Dr. Shobha Parashar( Consultant, Anesthesiology, SDMH), Dr. Asha Kasliwal( Consultant, Anesthesiology, SDMH), Dr. Kanhaiya Agarwal( Ex-Consultant, Anesthesiology, SDMH), Dr. Anil Karlekar were honoured for their immense contribution and dedication. A special remembrance to the memories of the legends of the department of CTVS, Dr M.P. Chincholkar, Dr Nemish Shah, Dr Sharad Pandey and Dr Ashok Jain, who are no more with us but will always be in our hearts.
  • World Thalassemia Day
    On the occasion of World Thalassemia Day today, SDMH organized a free Thalassemia Screening and Cultural Programme in association with “Thalassemia Children Society”. Thalassemia is a genetic blood disorder that causes haemoglobin deficiency and severe anaemia, starving organs of oxygen, which inhibits their ability to function properly. Thalassemic major patients need the regular blood transfusion and remain on medication. SDMH has been providing subsidized treatment to Thalassemic Children at its centre under the supervision of Dr Rajiv Bansal, HOD, Dept. of Pediatrics.
  • Santokba Durlabhji College of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences
    SDMH achieved another milestone today on 7th April, 2018 when on the occasion of “World Health Day”, it unveiled the “Santokba Durlabhji College of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences”. The state-of-the-art building and the only one of its kind facility will provide quality Nursing and Paramedical education. After providing thousands of Florence Nightingales to the country in last 42 years, the hospital upgraded its already functional School of Nursing to College. Spread in over 5,000 square meter area, the campus will also accommodate over 350 students and staff in a dedicated resident’s building in a secured campus. SDMH dedicates the facility to the state of Rajasthan on “World Health Day”.
    1st dedicated Pediatric ECMO CME in the state of Rajasthan was conducted on 18th March at SDMH AUDITORIUM, Jaipur jointly by Department of Pediatric & CTVS. Program highlights were the lecture by nationally renowned faculty & international faculty from the US, little heart camp felicitation by honourable secretary SDMH Shri Yogendra Durlabhji. CME was attended by around 70 delegates comprising perfusionist, intensivist cardiac anaesthetic, CTVS surgeon, the paediatrician and staff nurses. The aim of CME was to spread awareness of ECMO in paediatrics. CME lecture and hands-on was done by few of ECMO leads in India like Dr. Riyan Shetty from NH, Bangalore. Circuit priming and troubleshooting was shown by maquet team. The afternoon session was the rapid-fire session on various aspects of PEDIATRIC ECMO which was moderated by Dr. Ravi Sharma, consultant pediatric intensivist, SDMH, Jaipur. CME was coordinated by Dr. Alok Mathur, Dr. Ravi Sharma & maquet team.
