Dr. Mittal completed his medical training from PBM Medical College, Bikaner. He completed his DNB Orthopedic from prestigious St. Stephen Hospital, Delhi and topped the exit exam. Subsequently he worked for three years Registrar [2009 – 2012] as Senior Orthopedics at some of the reputed hospitals of New Delhi including Moolchand and Hindu Rao Hospital. After completing his Senior Registrarship, he completed two years fellowship in Hand & Microsurgery (FNB) from the Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore.
He has done several research work and presentations in reimplantation and critical revascularization, peripheral nerve injury, wrist and elbow arthroscopy, bone & joint tuberculosis, wrist swelling , brachial plexus birth palsy , pediatric hand anomaly and sports injury of hand wrist and cerebral palsy of upper limb. He is a life member of Indian Society of Surgery of Hand and Rajasthan Orthopedic Association.

Dr. Jayant Sen, Senior Consultant and Head, Department of Orthopedics has more than 20 years of experience. He specializes in Limb Reconstructive surgery, Foot & Ankle Surgery and Joint Replacement Surgery.
An alumni of S.M.S. Medical College, he has worked with pioneers like Dr. P.K. Sethi and Dr. J.C. Sharma. He was awarded the Indian Orthopaedic Associations J & J Travelling Fellowship (Highest Award) in 2003. He also received the World Orthopaedic Concern Sulzer Fellowship and trained with Dr. R. Gopal Krishnan, Chennai in Ilizarov Fixators. He picked up finer aspects of Joint Replacement Surgery from Dr. K.H. Sancheti at Pune. He has also worked with Dr. Selene G. Parekh at Duke University, USA for Foot & Ankle Surgery.
He has delivered Guest lecturers in international, national and regional conferences and received best paper awards. His work has also been published in international and national journals.
He is executive member of Indian Orthopedic Association and Secretary of Rajasthan Orthopedic Surgeons Association and Jaipur Orthopaedic Chapter. He was the Chairman of Scientific Committee of IOACON 2015. He is keenly involved in organization of various Academic meetings.

Dr. Kapil Gangwal is a Consultant in Orthopedics and specializes in Pediatric Orthopedics. He completed his training in orthopedics at SMS Medical College Jaipur in 1995. He subsequently trained under Padmashree Dr. P. K. Sethi for two years. He had then worked as Assistant Professor in Orthopedics at Medical College Kota and Jaipur.
Dr. Kapil Gangwal joined SDMH in 2003 and has been practicing Orthopedic Surgery with special interest in Pediatric Orthopedics now for over 12 years. He is the first trained pediatric orthopedic surgeon in the state of Rajasthan and has pioneered the development of this subspecialty in this region.
Dr. Gangwal was awarded ‘Varun Mahajan Travelling Fellowship’ from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York in 1999.
He subsequently pursued his sub specialization in children’s orthopedics through a formal Clinical International Fellowship in Pediatric Orthopedics and Scoliosis at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children at Dallas Texas in USA, and followed this with another year of Clinical Fellowship in Pediatric Spinal Deformity at Children’s Hospital Denver, Colorado, USA.
His expertise covers the entire spectrum of pediatric orthopedic disorders and He maintains a special interest in management of pediatric hip, foot, neuromuscular disorders and deformity correction.
Dr. Kapil Gangwal has organized national and regional meetings in pediatric orthopedics and has been an invited faculty for various national orthopedic meetings. He has made numerous presentations in national as well as international meetings. He maintains a keen interest in teaching and is an integral part of the academic program for teaching and training of D.N.B. postgraduate students in orthopedics.
He is active in research and has publications as well as contributions to orthopedic textbook for undergraduate and postgraduate student.

Dr. Prateek Goyal is an experienced Orthopedic Surgeon working as Senior Consultant at SDMH. Dr. Goyal completed his MBBS from RNT Medical College, Udaipur and later pursued his Post Graduation Diploma in Orthopedics from MS Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore. He did his Masters (DNB) degree in Orthopedics from SDM Hospital.
He has been operating for the last 11 years and has performed a vast range of joint and limb surgeries including knee, hip and shoulder joints. He is specialist in Joint Replacement and Arthroscopic Surgery of the hip, knee, shoulder and other joints.
He also performs Advanced Trauma Surgery especially pelvic and acetabular surgery. Dr. Prateek Goyal got his training in primary joint replacement and revision joint replacement, as a fellow, at prestigious Arthroplasty Institute at Lindenlohe, Germany under Prof H. Graischen, Prof. Wolfgang and Dr. Marco. He has also worked with and assisted world’s leading joint replacement and arthroplasty surgeon Dr. Vikram Shah in Ahmedabad. He has also done fellowship in Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine from Kamineni Hospital, Hyderabad and has a vast experience of working with Dr. Anant Joshi in Mumbai, pioneer and leading arthroscopy surgeon of the country.
Dr. Prateek has presented many research papers in National conferences and has also been the first recipient from Rajasthan of the prestigious ‘Vinod Jaskaran Porwal’ gold medal for the best scientific paper.

Dr. Shrivastava did his MBBS in 1985 from SMS Medical College, Jaipur and MS (Orthopedics) in 1989 from SMS Medical College, Jaipur. He has been providing services to SDMH since 1989.
Dr. Shailendra Srivastava is a Senior Consultant in Orthopedics and specializes in joint replacement, arthroscopy & complex polytrauma with nearly 30 years of experience. He subsequently trained under Padmashree Dr. P. K. Sethi, Dr. M.N Katju & Dr. Naresh Prakash. He pursued his AO Fellowship in 1992 (Advanced Trauma, Arthroscopy & Arthroplasty) in Germany. He did his Fellowship in Arthroscopy Surgery in 1998 under Dr. Anant Joshi ASMI Mumbai. In 1999 he completed J & J Fellowship in Joint Replacement under Dr. Vikram Shah, Ahmedabad. He pursued his advanced fellowship in Joint Replacement from Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital Exeter, UK. He had also undergone training programme in AO Pelvic & Acetabulum Course (Chiang Mai, Thailand).
He has been Coordinator/Head of Department of Orthopedics SDMH for more than 10 years & has organized national and regional meetings in joint replacement; arthroscopy & trauma .He has made numerous presentations in national A.O courses & workshops. With his keen interest & efforts, teaching and training programme for DNB Post Graduation in Orthopaedics was started in 2007. He has been a member of team undertaking a multicentric international trial on osteoporosis and osteoarthritis as a co-investigator.
